Zoonotic diseases (meaning those passed from animals to humans) can be present in dog waste. This includes; salmonella. giardia, roundworms, and hookworms, just to name a few. These can live on your dogs waste for several says. Which is why it is important to have us scoop your dog's waste regularly!
Up to 23 million fecal coliform bacteria can be found in just 1 gram of dog waste. The waste can seep into groundwater, spread salmonella & giardia. This poses a hazard to your pets, your family, and your landscape. It is also why dog waste is not safe to use as a fertilizer in your garden.
Mowers will chop up the waste into smaller pieces and spread it throughout your yard. That's why we recommend to schedule a clean up a day or two before you plan to have your yard mowed!

Canine Parvovirus (also known as Parvo) is a very contagious and aggressive virus that causes damage to a dog's gastrointestinal tract. Vaccination is not a guarantee of immunity and any dog can become infected by the virus. It is spread to dogs through direct contact with another dog's waste. The virus can survive on surfaces and soil for months, which is why it is very important to clean up after your dog often. That can be a lot of work, so we are here to help!

Your dog's poop can tell us a lot about their health. They use the Bristol Chart to determine stool quality. Poop should also be brown, any color other could be a sign of something going on.
It's also important to look for anything that may be rice (worms), rocks, large amount of hair etc.
